CURRENT PROJECTS

McLaren Vale Quarries

Lucas has been contracted by McLaren Vale Quarries for various works since 1991, including overburden removal, quarry development, haul road construction and quarry rehabilitation. Lucas currently has the contract for mining activities including topsoil stripping, waste removal of approximately 400,000 tonnes per annum, quarry to crusher, 600,000 per annum, reclaiming stockpiles, quarry maintenance, development and rehabilitation.

CEMEX - Montacute

Operating in a hard rock quarry at Montacute, near Adelaide, SA, Lucas provides removal and placement in a dump site of overburden material in an operating quarry mine site. Lucas is also responsible for the maintenance and upgrade of the safe haul and access tracks within the mine site.

PAST PROJECTS

Contract Crushing

Lucas has completed many jobs for various regional councils, TSA, other Government Departments and private industry developers.

Lucas has recently completed 2 projects for TSA to drill and blast, rip raise and crush approx. 120,000 tonne of limestone material for two road projects. Lucas is experienced in quarrying, mining, road building, operating and maintaining heavy equipment.

Lucas has recently purchased a new Nordberg 1213S Mobile Crusher capable of crushing and screening upwards of 200 tonnes per hour of road base.

Campaigns of 200,000 tonne each for mining companies and road projects have been undertaken.
